‘My Life’ by CJ

My Life

My life and I wear the same lipstick
Sorry my wife*
So when we meet you out in the streets
And our love smears between us
You don’t know it’s two women in love
Just a woman and another one
That drink from messy glasses.
My life*

CJ is an American queer woman living in London with her wife. She is inspired by the overlaps in nihilism and romanticism. She shapes much of her poetry from her queerness (in all its forms) and the rest while riding the bus home.
