Getting in Touch
I still feel the warmth
of your body
after all
these decades—
in the ambient air
like a missing sun
or aroma that has
outstayed the cooking
against my own
body that has stayed
and savored many things
you know not of,
still warm as if
pulled from the oven
and offered fresh,
a taste we recognize.
