Daughter
You have moved far away
by the ocean.
We cannot have a cup of coffee
in our neighborhood
as we did for so many years.
But we can walk in the rain
by the sea with the wind
whipping our umbrella,
sup mussels from that irascible waitress,
drink thick, foamy Irish Coffee
and watch memories toss on the waves.
