Love Letters

This summer, we are testing a new feature on the Passionfruit website: Love Letters.

Love Letters is exactly what it says on the tin, and it’s also whatever you want to write on the tin. Love Letters is a space for the words you can’t say, the words you want the world to hear; a place to whisper in the dark to one another, to shout into the void together. All letters will be published anonymously. The theme, broadly speaking, is love – as always, feel free to interpret this however you like and to stretch our imagination. The form is up to you: if you want to send us poetry (including prose poetry) on this theme, we would love to read it.

To launch Love Letters and to get the ball rolling (and to see if this is something people are interested in), we are initially opening submissions until the end of July 2025. If you would like a chance to be published in this first batch and to help us lay the foundations for what this page might look like and how it might be used, go to our Submittable page or get in touch with us at editor@passionfruitreview.com. We’d love to hear from you.

Like our poetry, submissions to Love Letters will be entirely free. We won’t promise to post everything, but we will try to accept as much as we can that makes us think, pulls at our heartstrings, makes us smile, or otherwise piques our interest.
