‘Debris’ by Sam Calhoun

Debris

Speak to me
like the trees
do not believe
in love anymore,
but hover like shamans
dangling shadows,
casting leaf spells
over creek waters,
turned in an eclipse
to splash crescents
like wild geese
in your chest.
