‘Bewildered Dancing’ by John L. Stanizzi

Bewildered Dancing

humidity licks the steam
from the water

the fog has fallen around you
you remember the sea
as a nervous black space
upon which we tried to dance

the sand like tiny islands

the gulls like scars of light
