When We Part
You stitch
my fingertips
so I have to
work to pull
away. Static
arcs
the current breaks
and I tumble
through the gap
between
you and me.
Next time we touch
your skin sticks
to mine, moist lips
to an ice cube
softened by rum
and ginger ale.
